Late February Udate

I’ve updated the Dishonored 2 section up through the fourth mission, “The Clockwork Mansion,” and fleshed out much of the Lost in Blue section.

The LIB work is coming along nicely. Caster has completed Aidan’s adventure and started on Lucy’s, and I’ve collected megatons of information and screenshot material. All crafting recipes are listed (except for the pan-fry and deep fry dishes), and we have more than half of the multiple endings recorded with confirmation of the required conditions for each! While the LIB section remains mostly text notes for now, much of what I need is already gathered and just needs refining. As always, there’s more than a little busywork labeling and reordering screenshot galleries to do.

New Year, New Agenda

Thief Gold is out of the running as I found a neat website that accomplishes what I do here. Child of Light, Thief Gold, and Thief II: The Metal Age are cataloged by others and so instead I’ll be creating some sort of a recommendations section.

This Christmas, however, I received Dishonored 2 as a gift from my parents (with a funny story to go with it), so my enthusiasm for this shiny new toy has firmly edged out the rest of the competition. It makes logical sense as well to feature the sequel to a game I have already covered!

Back to the Jewel of the South!

Late December check-in

After a (very) long AFK period, here I am! Just a quick sit-rep for now.

The games on my radar currently are Thief Gold, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (unique items), American McGee’s Alice: Madness Returns, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and a special project for Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked I’ll be collaborating with my sister on.

Not much has changed in my plans since I was last active. I just need to get started again! I haven’t decided what to work on first and so I have no ETA to announce as yet.

Witchcraft!

The Knife of Dunwall is now (lovely) labeled and the first half of The Brigmore Witches is up and labeled too. Wait… Gasp! A gallery that was labeled before I even posted it? No, two of them?! Someone check for signs of a frost in Hell! Or maybe I made a contract with the Outsider, hmm?

I’m also playing through Dishonored again–collecting documents–which is of course proving incredibly handy for catching a few mistakes in the base game’s pages. I started The Royal Physician last night. I’m quite glad now that I decided to collect the loot photos and the document photos separately; there are a lot of books in this game and they are in no way tracked by in-game statistics. Keeping an eye out for books (which don’t glow in Void Gaze unfortunately) while dodging guard patrols is difficult enough without having other items to keep track of mentally.

The Knife of Dunwall cannot abide an unlabeled gallery…

The Knife of Dunwall is here! As usual, the galleries are unlabeled for now but the images will still point you in the right direction. Both of Dishonored’s DLC expansions are absolutely fantastic and they together amount to almost as much content and playtime as the base game! Three cheers for Arkane!

Coming soon…

A little spit and polish

All of Thief’s main chapters as well as The Bank Heist are catalogued and labeled, the Collectibles and nearly all of the Documents are organized and labeled, and the City is now available too! I still need to double-check and label the section devoted to the City after Chapter 2 but the photos are there for the viewing, and of the Documents, I’m down to finding only 5 newspapers that I’m missing. Then, for Thief, only the challenge maps remain!

I used the native WordPress gallery for Dishonored’s pages and only started fiddling with gallery alternatives on Thief pages, but now that I’ve gotten NextGen Gallery (mostly) figured out I’ve taken down all the old galleries and replaced them with the new ones. All of the Dishonored missions, the Hound Pits Pub, and the Charms & Runes pages are updated and re-labeled. Some of the pages were missing content after I deleted a batch of photos I shouldn’t have and the old galleries made navigation a headache by cluttering up the Back button in browsers. Not a problem now!

I’ve started collecting screenshots from the first mission of Dishonored’s Knife of Dunwall DLC. In addition to my chores in Thief, I may soon start to catalogue Dishonored’s documents.

Thief Update (and this one’s massive)

For today’s long overdue Thief update, all chapters and side-missions, as well as the prologue, are complete and pictures organized on their pages. I’m still filling in many of the details, like names and values, but they’re perfectly usable as they are. The City is the only major chunk left to do (and maybe the Bank?), and Basso’s jobs will be detailed there instead of separately.

Between the many, many, many IRL distractions thrown my way, the following is what most of my free time spent has looked like: 20160508151523_1

And it still took me forever and a half. Maybe I should start locking my door.

On another (somewhat) unrelated note, dog-sitting other people’s fur babies is great way to gain a deeper appreciation for your own dogs’ good behavior. Dog-sitting for two somewhat particular dog moms/dads in a row will have you singing your pets’ praises as you collapse onto the nearest couch; “Oh, thank God you are so easy I love you come here my little fluffbutts.”

(6/2/16) UPDATE: All chapters labelled and totaled up, side missions totaled up but unlabeled, The Bank Heist explored and now to be photoed, and The City between Chapters 1 and 2 has been photoed and should be up in the next few days.

This week has involved way too much mental math–which is not my forte–because I was too stubborn to take the time to write everything down. I think I spent as much time correcting my miscalculations as I would have taken to write up notes. Well, I saved a few sheets of paper and got plenty of math practice, so I think it has all worked out in the end! Once you get past the annoyance of correcting a mistake for the third time, it was kind of a nice brain stretch, heh.

Back in the Saddle… Somewhat…

Just for the record, I am not dead. Illness, travel, and general hullabaloo turned “hiatus” into “condemned to the back-burner” for much longer than I anticipated. Have I mentioned that this is my first time running a website? But I am back and progress will now resume! (Knock on wood.)

Currently, my tiny little corner of the internet is attracting no traffic at all, mostly because I’m a total amateur at this. Most likely, no one is going to read this after I post it but post I shall, because each one is a figurative handshake greeting someone new. I’ll continue improving my site and fixing my mistakes, and eventually someone will reciprocate!

Did I say “short” hiatus?

Okay, wow… So, nothing has gone as planned and life is on hold.

Since my last update, I got a bit worse and today is the first time in a week that I’ve felt like myself. My whole family has come down sick and my mom has ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. All travel has been cancelled or postponed, the house is a mess, and I haven’t gotten any work done. My focus right now is taking care of family and getting healthy again, but I think I’ve come out the other side of this illness. Now that I can stay awake and focused for longer than 20 minutes at a time I’m hoping to get even a little bit of productivity back.
